Irish Circuit News

We had a lovely week in Ireland this year taking all the dogs for their week on the beach with a bit of showing (for Holly only) thrown in for good measure.  Quite a respectable performace as well culminating in 3 Green Stars, 2 Reserve Green Stars, 2 Best of Breed and a Group 2 and a Group 4 placing - so the girl did good again!!

22nd July 2011

Leeds Champ show today at Harewood House - a lovely setting with our judge Dave Mitchell  of the Peasblossom affix.  Out of a lovely class of 6 and her first time in limit (now up with the big girls!!) Holly was placed a very respectable 2nd

Judges critique "Very smart liver tri bitch racing through the ranks and finding herself up with the big girls still at a tender age.  More than holding her own here.  Not the expression of 1 with eyes still needing to darken a shade or two.  Correct size and more compact than 1.  Great bone and substance for such a youngster but would prefer a little more elegance in the neck and shoulder department.  Moderately angled, well bodied and conditioned.  Moved really well today"

Too Cold and windy today to get a photo!!

A very early start for our trip down south to show at Southern Counties under breed specialist Roly Cross (Cerchfelle)  Holly won her Junior class of 4 and then I was absolutely overwhelmed when she was awarded her very first CC at 17 months old.  What a fabulous day and thank you to our judge for this lovely award

JUDGES CRITIQUE "What a cracker, lovely young bitch with feminine head, good eye colour and shape, shoulders, topline and balance first class, correct angulation which showed in her lovely movement, a real quality young Springer, everything we look for in a nice ESS – CC."

Gareth Lawler of the Roqfolly affix judged today at Birmingham National Ch Show.  He placed Holly first in a strong Junior out of a class of 8 and was short listed down to the last 3 for the bitch CC - so near yet so far away !!

JUDGES CRITIQUE quality bitch, beautifully presented, feminine, yet has substance, and is very well balanced. Moves well up and back and in profile – in last 3 for CC
