Fallenleaf

2014

Not a huge number of Ch shows entered during this period but Holly managed to pick up a few more credits to her name - main wins are  listed below.  Further RCC  at LKA  and throughout the shows attended, Holly was placed well winning many of her Open Classes - but it's a hard class with some beautiful bitches to compete against so we were in fabulous company.

At the breed Club Open Shows Holly continued to do so very well with a Best Bitch and RBIS at both the Northern ESS Show under Malcom Shovel (Tiverstone) and L&C ESS Show under Jackie Marris Bray.  Thank you as always to the judges for continuing to think so highly of our Girl!

During this time we also made our debut with our latest addition to the Fallenleaf team in the form of Una - Chanagel Falling Leaf JW - who is owned in partnership with Angela Chandler of the Chanangel Kennel.  Una has only been shown lightly during the last 24 months as she was still very raw and needed time to grow up but before temporarily hanging up her lead she had some very credible wins both at Champ and Open Shows.  More details can be found on Una's very own web page - click on this link to find out more about this little rebel

Back up north to ESS Club of Scotland for the opinion of Don Miller (Feorlig).  Super run show with fa odd and great atmosphere.  Holly won her open bitch class and received a super critique from the judge

Over the valleys to Wales for the Club show under breed specialist Sue Aston (Tasa).  Holly won a super class of 6 and received a superb critique from the judge

Lovely show and one of the fist for Una under our judge, breed specialist Wendy Walker.  Delighted with Una's first time out where she was a very respectable 2nd in her puppy class and Holly was also 2nd behind her Anutie Bonnie - lovely day out followed by a few days spent at a super B&B in the country.  Great critique for both girls

National Gundog today under breed specialist Kay Woodward.  Una 3rd in her class and Holly won a super Open Bitch class but just pratted about for which she was penalised in the final challenge  - but a lovely crituqe from the judge nonetheless

Lovely show where both girls did exeptionally well winning both their respective classes>  Delighted that Una was awarded Best Puppy Bitch and Holly was  considered for the RCC.  Great critique from the judge for both girls

No CC's on offer today but our judge had pulled a good entry.  Delighted to have won our cass then be awarded the  Best Bitch and RBOB.  Well Done Anthony with your BOB with the forever young Eric!

Thoroughly enjoyable day with both girls winning their classes and have received super critiques from our judge

Back up north for Gundog Breeds of Scotland under Swedish judge from the famous Westaway kennel. Fabulous comments supported by equally brilliant critique from the judge for both girls who won their classes and Holly went on  to be awardrd the RCC.  Brilliant day all round.  Also came a great 2nd in the Junior Stakes class under breed specialist Jenny Miller with Una so thank you to both judges for a wonderful day

Last show of the year and a favourite when we all get to gether to either celebrate the years results.  No matter what results, there are some lovely people in the breed and I am fortunate to have many good friends within the Springer world who's friendship I will always treasure.

Today was the turn of Val Fosse - a well respected 'all rounder' judge.  Una was placed 3rd in her Junior Class and Holly won Open Bitch but no further even though she was considered  for the the CC .Well done Nicola on  Gracies 3rd and crowning CC today

L&C ESS Club Open Show in January 2014.  I was honoured to be invited to judge at this show and want to thank the committee for their hospitality troughout the day.I had a lovely entry and my BIS I awarded to Calvdale Great Escape RBD and RBIS Waterswarren Willy Wonka. Best itch went to Melverley Band Tidy and RBB Calvdale Hearsay and BPIS was another from the  Calvdale  kennel, the lovely Calvdale Night Court.  Thank you for all the exhibotors who entered under me and accepted my devcisions with good grace.

BREED ASSESMENT EXAM In May I sat my Breed Assessment exam to award CC's in ESS - absolutely over the moon to say that I passed athough I did find it hard not having sat an exam for more years than I care to mention.  But after a lot of hard work and much revising  I PASSE - very pleased with myself !

BATH CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW Those who know me know we enjoy our holidays and where possible try to get a couple squeezed in during the year, so when I was offered a judging appointment at Bath Ch show in May 2015 I was sure I would be 'just fine' after returning from 2 weeks in Florida the day before.  Combined jet lag and Bank Holiday traffic did make me late for my appointmemt but when I eventually got there I was pleased with my entry.  My BOB I awarded to Trimere Tough Cookie, RBB Trimere Twist of Fate  BD and Best Opp Sex Tiverstone Choir Boy RBD Trimere Turning Point at Kerrijoy BPIB Crackerjanne Penelope Cruz.
